Bringing together a host of talented, entrepreneurial women in property is the aim of Edge Recruitment's next 'Fabulous Women in Property' event taking place this year on Friday 15th April 2011 at The Adelaide Convention Centre.
Now in its sixth year, the Fabulous Women in Property lunch is set to be a stellar event for women in the property and real estate industries, benefiting a local hard working charity - Time for Kids.
The event's guest speaker has been officially announced as Erik Thomson, one of Australia's most respected actors for film, television and theatre; currently starring in Australia’s top rating TV drama Packed to the Rafters.

Fabulous Women in Property
Established in 2004 by Jane Carey, CEO of Edge Recruitment, Fabulous Women in Property (FWIP) is a networking group for women to meet with colleagues, establish new contacts and above all enjoy informative and fun events. Growing in popularity at every event FWIP has held many successful events where fundraising efforts have included:
- Raising over $13,000 to refurbish two parent retreat rooms at the Women's & Children's Hospital.
- Providing Christmas gift baskets for homeless women housed at Catherine House, in addition to raising funds for expansion and refurbishment of Catherine House property.
- Raising over $9,000 in memory of the late Senator Jeannie Ferris for research into an early detection test for ovarian cancer.
- Refurbished eight parent rooms on the Rose Ward at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital. The Rose Ward cares for sick babies from birth to 12 months old.
Past speakers who have entertained guests include:
- Mia Handshin - an accomplished motivational speaker and an inspirational person who has been involved in the media, politics and the charity sector throughout her career.
- Liz Ellemes - one of Adelaide’s pre-eminent stylists.
- Dominique Schwarz – award winning journalist, with extensive media experience including many years as a foreign correspondent.
- Emma Hack – award winning artist, creating her own niche art form which has catapulted her onto the world stage.
